Physiotherapy Berlin Adlershof
At our health center, we work together across all departments. Through constant exchange and a shared view from different disciplines, we can offer our patients the best possible treatment. We work with a variety of therapies to restore or improve the body’s physiological range of motion.

Physiotherapy is a natural healing method. It uses passive and active human movement to heal, but also to prevent illnesses. It therefore represents an alternative or useful supplement to drug and surgical therapy.
The aims of physiotherapy treatments are to relieve pain, promote metabolism and blood circulation, but also to maintain and improve mobility, coordination, endurance and strength.
To achieve these goals, AVIVA Berlin offers a wide range of treatments based on the following concepts:
- Manual therapy
- Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF)
- Functional movement theory according to S. Klein-Vogelbach (FBL)
- Cyriax
- Brügger
- Bobath
- PNF
- Reflective breathing therapy
and much more…
Manual therapy
Manual therapy involves examining and treating functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Manual and therapeutic techniques on the spine and extremities are used to identify and treat these disorders, and special mobilization techniques are used to eliminate these movement disorders and relieve pain in muscles and joints.
- Intervertebral disc diagnostics and therapy according to McKenzie
- Manipulative massage according to Terrier
- Osteopathy according to Mitchell
- Orthopaedic medicine and manual therapy according to Cyriax
Neurology
We offer neurological treatments for both adults and children.
The Bobath concept
The development and mode of action of the Bobath concept is based on two principles, namely the neurophysiological basis, which is grounded in the natural sciences, and the holistic view, which can be assigned to the humanities. The treatment of adults includes the initiation and relearning of movements and functions with the aim of achieving the greatest possible independence in fulfilling daily requirements and integration into the normal environment or occupation. Therapists transfer this treatment concept into the patient’s everyday life. They use targeted activities to initiate goals such as movement control when getting dressed.
The PNF concept
“Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation”
PNF promotes the interaction between receptors, nerves and muscles, and by specifically stimulating receptors in the body that are responsible for perception (e.g. of joint position), impaired movement is improved or even re-initiated, meaning that this treatment principle can be used not only in neurology, but also in many other areas of physiotherapy.
Spine and posture analysis
With the help of our 3D measuring device, we are able to carry out a fast, non-contact and high-resolution optical measurement of the back and spine, and by expanding the simulation platform, we are able to detect a difference in leg length or foot misalignment and compensate for this with the help of a simulation. This allows us to determine the effect of any insole fitting on the pelvis, spine and overall posture. In addition to spinal measurement and compensation simulation with the simulation platform, we also offer static and dynamic foot pressure measurement. This measurement method allows the pressure conditions of the foot to be recorded quickly and precisely during walking. All these measurements and analyses make it possible to develop a targeted treatment concept for the patient.
