Workshop on shock wave therapy in the AVIVA AirSpace
On Saturday, doctors and medical assistants from all over Germany gathered at the AVIVA AirSpace for further training. Physiotherapists Alexander Ablass and Thomas Meier presented the functions and possible applications of shock wave therapy:
In shock wave therapy, pressure waves are directed at diseased or painful areas of the body. The precise application enables the destruction of painful deposits on joints and achieves rapid therapeutic success after just 3-4 applications. This form of therapy has proven particularly effective for tennis elbow, calcific shoulder or heel spurs over the last 20 years.
The workshop was organized by meditech Sachsen GmbH, which distributes the devices.
